Damage from the December floods had left the normal route bridge un-usable which resulted in the course being extended to the next available bridge at the southern end of the lake, making the total distance 16.8 miles. Already notoriously hard due to the hills, the extra three miles in the middle of the course this year proved an even harder challenge on the second half hills. A field of 1,307 runners started the race but the challenge proved too much for 16 non-finishers. First home for Fenland in 43rd position was Ady Martin in a superb time of 1.52.44 and Sarah Gauvin was first Fenland lady home as 29th lady to finish in a time of 2.07.26.
