Jane's Charity Fun Run - 21st June 2009
The Fenland Running Club invited members of the March Running & AC to join them on Father's Day for a run which raised a total of £508 for The Lymphoma Association, a cancer charity. The 50 participants, including 2 dogs, ran, walked or cycled their chosen distance from between 3 and 7 miles. The course, starting from the Wisbech Cricket & Hockey Club that took the runners alongside the river, through Roman Bank and back through Leverington on an extremely hot and sunny day. A welcome barbeque was ready for them at the finish.
It was brilliant to see so many paticipants from both Fenland & March. Everyone was so kind, helping with marshalling, making cakes, donating raffle prizes and helping with the food (particularly Roger!).
