Nottingham Half Marathon - 12th September 2010
On the 12th September 2010 two Fenland Runners took part in the 30th Nottingham Half Marathon, it was a warm Sunday morning with a field of over 6000 half marathon runners. The event also included a record 3000 runners competing in a full marathon, an undulating course took both distances around the sites of Nottingham which included the Castle, Woolaton Hall and the University, with the race finishing along a tree lined route on the Victoria embankment. Cheryl Chapman had a pb on this course of 1:58:51 (2562) having completed the course previously in 2008, it was Jane Greenwood's first time at this event finishing in 2:02:28 (2976). Fellow club members Louise Busby and Dan Wate came to support Jane and Cheryl which took them on a tour of the city too.
