FENLAND BREAK COURSE RECORD AND WIN MALE AND LADIES TEAM PRIZES.

 

Thirteen from Fenland Running Club took part in the Thorney 10K Road Race, the weather conditions were favourable for potential personal bests. First home for Fenland was Andrew Jakeman in 2nd place followed closely by Jack Trow 4th and Robin Parker 8th. Jack Trow was 1st Junior male home and Robin Parker 1st male Vet 40, they also took the 1st male team prize. Fenland ladies also performed well taking the 1st ladies team prize, Rebecca Cousins was 1st lady to finish with a new ladies course record of 38:06, Lisa Jeremy finished 4th lady and Melanie Murdoch 6th lady. With strong performances from all runners personal best times were also achieved by Paul Wiegand, David Webster,Cheryl Chapman and Ellen Drew-Peck, it was Ellen's first 10K race. Fenland Runners were supported and cheered on by fellow club members Ian Milburn and Clive Harrod.
